Ms. Olsson, meet Mr. Charles

i promised myself i would stop correcting people when they call me "Mr. / Ms. Paul",
but it's easier said than done.
i wonder if b'day girl Ann-Margret Olsson-Smith has the same pet peeve.

wide receiver

last week, i had two consecutive days of dental surgery which left my face swollen beyond recognition. i barely left the house all weekend, and even then it was under the dark of night.

everytime i felt shortchanged out of the warmest weekend New York has experienced in months, i'd remind myself that i spent all winter in sunny Southern California.

the face of CORONA

Ru,

I thought I'd pass along some info on something you wrote on your blog April 5th. Perhaps I can clear up the rumor that the voice behind CORONA is Ivana Spagna (who, at my 20 years of age, I have never heard of).

CORONA is an Italian Eurodance act that has actually had 3 voices. Jenny Bersola, a famous 90s Eurodance singer performed on "Rhythm Of The Night". Everything after that up to the 2000s ("Baby Baby", "Try Me Out" & "I Don't Wanna Be A Star") was performed by another vocalist, Sandy Chambers. Aside from Corona she has done work for famous acts like The Benassi Brothers. After CORONA resurfaced around 2006-2007, all of the new material is performed by Olga De Souza. She is the tall, braided beauty of a Brazilian woman that has represented the "face" of CORONA since the beginning (featured in the "Rhythm Of The Night" video as well as all other CORONA videos and live performances).

Anyway, I hope this helps in case you were wondering! Again, I'm a huge fan! You're the greatest! Love ya!!!

Miss Hathaway

news last week that Anne Hathaway's been tapped to portray Judy Garland in a biopic had me perplexed. my thinking is that she should be doing Judy's daughter Liza Minnelli, she looks just like her.

fearless flying

i sat next to Tyne Daly on the flight from LAX to JFK. we said nothing. we revealed nothing, but i've always admired her fearless ability to reveal herself to an audience. Alex Collack was our flight attendant. i've also admired his fearless ability to reveal himself to an audience.

italian ice

they used to play this song on Hot 97 in New York City, back when dance music was considered urban. i love it today as i did then. i've always loved Italian Disco, add to that a blatant rip-off of Stock, Aitken, Waterman and i'm sold. it was rumored Ivana Spagna was the real voice of Corona. if that is true, the woman is a God. i worship at her feet.
