from Paris to York, Pa.

last saturday, we bought an all day pass which allowed us to hop on any of the double decker tourist buses that cruise Paris. it was great because what little geographical knowledge i had of the city was pieced together by the bus tour. Paris demystified.

the only drawback was the taped audio portion of the tour was strewn with advertisements for everything from the onboard Coke machine to Versailles day trips. ultimately, i just head-phoned my Grace Jones playlist and did without the aural guide. Grace is a much better guide to Paris anyway.

here in New York, we have taxi cabs equipped with TV's that show non-stop advertisements. the TV's cannot be turned off because there is no Off button. it'd be tolerable if the commercials were any Goode... as in Jean-Paul Goode.

on sunday, before our car to Orly airport arrived, we had a couple of hours to kill. so we rented bikes and rode up the canals. so much fun. wish we had more time. well, C'est La Vie.

tomorrow morning, we're renting a car and driving to York, Pa. for my show there on friday night. of course, we're gonna stop at the Gucci outlet in Secaucus, New Jersey on the way.
