Sunday, December 16, 2007 life after love Annette showed up one morning after my shift at WKTU, and subsequently every public appearance i made in the New York area for the next ten years. she and her daughter Vanessa were at every taping of The RuPaul Show on VH1, and even trekked out west last june for the Los Angeles premiere of "Starrbooty". i had never experienced that level of devotion from a fan until i met her, and initially it was startling when she showed me the tattoo of my name on her leg, but eventually i understood it and in doing so learned how to accept my own lovability on a level i had never allowed myself before. i will always be grateful to you for that, Annette. until we meet again, i will wear your tattoo in my heart. | Permalink 2009 RuCo, Inc.—All Rights Reserved |
