Saturday, November 24, 2007 warren malone RuPaul has been one of my biggest influences since I was 7 years old, after my poor father disconnected the television after realizing that Ru was a man during his spot on the MTV Awards in '93. That surely didn't stop me. I just plugged it right back in and told him to go have another beer. RuPaul is a perfect example of someone that broke all the rules and made an international movement that will never be forgotten. I am next. RuPaul went on to come across my music and wrote me an e-mail about how amazed he was by my voice and music. This was the first time I met one of childhood heros.
