the sound of philadelphia

in keeping with the outgoing demeanor i adopted on vacation in Los Angeles, i took Michael Lucas up on his offer to join him at the premiere of his documentary at the Philadelphia International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

the film is called "more dangerous: the making of michael lucas' dangerous liaisons", and features commentary by Michael Musto, Bruce Vilanch and me. we all met up at Penn Station and caught the train down to Philly, which took just an hour and a half.

we checked into the hotel, then attended a party given on our behalf at a private residence. from there, we went to the screening and did a Q & A afterwards. i've just now returned from a late dinner at The Continental, where the after screening reception was held. whew!

i'm having a blast, although i am a little jet-hagged from so much traveling. but i am fulfilling my goal to be more social on the east coast. i'm determined to maintain the happy social summer vibe i had on the west coast.

tomorrow, The Festival brunch followed by the train back to Manhattan.
