leaving el lay

as i head for the airport en route to New York City, i'm a little unsure of my ability to bring the happiness i've experienced back home with me. the truth is, i haven't nurtured a social life in Manhattan with the same vigor i put into my life in Los Angeles. the result is, i have tons of people i connect with here and just a handful in New York. i've really got to change that, because the past 2 weeks with all my friends & family have been massively revitalizing.

tuesday night, we went country line dancing at Oil Can Harry's on Ventura Boulevard. laughing and dancing are my 2 favorite things in the whole wide world, and there was plenty of that to be had.

last night, we met up at Jumbo's Clown Room on Hollywood Boulevard. it's a rock & roll strip club where the biological girls are tattooed and they do their routines to music from a jukebox. it's very "flashdance" because they don't show any "tits or tackle".

then we headed up to Reseda (in The Valley) to a club called C.Frenz, where Geovanny does an all-male strip revue. again, no full nudity, but still loads (wink) of fun.
