Saturday, January 14, 2006 OUCH!sometime during the night, my IBUPROFEN wore off and i was awakened by the pain. it's the weirdest freakin' sensation to be awakened by a slow throbbing ache. damn! it's been a week and my surgery is still hurting like a mo-fo. BROOKLYN my latest obsession is the sitcom MY WIFE & KIDS in syndication. it is friggin' hilarious! i love this show! plus, i love the fact that i'm watching the baby girl that was in DONNA SUMMER'S belly on the cover of THE WANDERER album. FLOW i've spent the past few days in the studio working on the remix album. i really love working with this cat that ARI GOLD hooked me up with. we can finish each other's sentences, which is "half the battle" when collaborating. BEWITCHED i rediscovered a box of old demos i wrote and recorded many, many years ago when i was trying to get signed to a major label. as i sat and listened to them, i couldn't help but remember how much of a struggle that period in my life was. looking back, i feel so proud to have persevered. pursuing my vision is still a challenge, but the difference today is that i've learned to laugh in the face of adversity. laughter is the most powerful spell i've ever learned to cast. . | Permalink 2009 RuCo, Inc.—All Rights Reserved |
