PORN IN THE U.S.A.

the morning after my triple x porno directing debut, i woke up in a panic remembering a specific shot i forgot to get. i wanted to shoot a medium close-up of BRUCE BECKHAM'S eager asshole followed by a medium shot of WILSON VASQUEZ' throbbing ding dong right before we filmed the insertion. the idea was to build some suspense in the editing process by cutting back and forth from the quivering lovehole to the punishing bootyplug several times before the serious pummeling began.

oh well, there's always next time. dear God i hope there will be a next time, because i enjoyed the experience immensely! it really was a challenge to create a scene that had the intimate elements MICHAEL LUCAS was looking for when he asked me to write and direct a scene in his upcoming film called ENCOUNTERS. he said the new audience for porn wants to see "lovers having sex" or for there to be "a reason behind the sexual encounter". i'm sure we achieved that goal and then some.

MICHAEL was on set to help me with the basic choreography of shooting sex on tape. when the cameras rolled he was awesome, telling the models to "work the foreskin" "arch your back" or "make some noise". before the the sex, MICHAEL asked me if WILSON'S body hair should be clipped just a little. i said "no no noooo, me likey likey".

NEW YORK TIMES reporter GUY TREBAY was also on the set, which initially weirded me out because i didn't want to be even more self-conscious than i already was, being that it was my first time directing and all, but then i said "fuck it, i got work to do". it ended up being just fine. GUY TREBAY was the first major writer to cover me for THE TIMES back in 1993. i remember he traveled with me in a limo to a gig in NEW JERSEY, probably at the HUNKA BUNKA BALLROOM.

the camera operators, TONY DiMARCO & RAYMOND DRAGON were equally as helpful to this first-timer of shooting penetration (i've shot sex scenes before, but with no penetration. see examples in the "whore" commercials included on my new music video compilation...ouch!).

brickhouse BRUCE BECKHAM bottomed like nobody's business. wow, what a pro! WILSON VASQUEZ is 10 uncompromising inches! (somebody scream!) after the we finished, i noticed a tube of ANAL-EASE in the bathroom. i thought to myself "oh, so that's his secret". i'd never heard of ANAL-EASE before, but i sure am going to buy up a case of that shit... i mean, c'mon... it's the perfect stocking stuffer! (pun entended).

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BIRTHDAY LOVE!

i've been in drags everyday for the past three days for 12 hours a pop ...and no we're not shooting the sequel to TUCK EVERLASTING, but sometimes it sure feels that way. we shot the hooker montage in the uncorrupted section of "the meat market", which included scenes with LaHOMA VanZANDT, ARI GOLD (as a jewish pimp), GUS MATTOX, OWEN HAWK, SWEETIE and AURORA.

tomorrow, i direct a scene in MICHAEL LUCAS' all male xxx rated movie entitled "encounters" with BRUCE BECKHAM and WILSON VASQUEZ.

LADY SCORPIO

i really haven't had time to blog lately, what with shooting the movie, putting together the remix album and maxi cd single, promoting the doll, compiling the dvd of my music videos and traveling with my night club act. it was so much easier to blog when i was living in El Lay and just throwing barbecues and organizing game nights. i must admit, though... i'm having a friggin' ball! i love staying busy. i have so much to tell you, but i gotta go to sleep now. i got my trainer in the morning.

ok, just one thing. i ran into NATALIE COLE tonight. she was getting into her limo as i was walking down the street. as i passed by her i said "hey, miss natalie cole" and she said "hey", and i kept walking. then i heard her say "is that Ru? get in here, chile!". i walked back and got into her limo. we kissed and "key-keyed" and then said our goodbyes. she looked terrific. the funny thing is that i was on my way to meeting up with the same friend who introduced me to NATALIE over 8 years ago.

oh, and one more thing. my birthday is on thursday, november 17th.
i have to say, i'm more excited about this birthday than any that came before it!
wow, i fucking can't believe i'm gonna be 45 years old.
i honestly feel better than i've ever felt in my entire life.

HAIR PIECE IN THE VALLEY

i've started each day with a hike in FRYMAN CANYON since sunday, when i got to L.A. this morning during my hike, i listened to BARBRA'S latest masterpiece produced by BARRY GIBB. life is good.

yesterday, i drove down to see my family in SAN DIEGO. i got down there in what seemed like a fraction of the usual 2 hour journey, all because i was talking on my cellphone to MATHU ANDERSON the entire trip, something i never do because i'm not a "phone person". it's just that he's so friggin' funny.

i had dinner with my "kin folk" and played with the baby, and drove back listening to the remix of "power of love" by DONNA SUMMER over and over again. it's sooo satisfying!

this morning i hiked, had breakfast at BOB'S BIG BOY, shopped at TRADER JOE'S for roasted-unsalted sunflower seeds, got lashes at NAIMIE'S BEAUTY SUPPLY, bought a hairpiece at HOLLYWOOD WIG 6311 hollywood blvd. 90028, then drove back to the hotel to get into "drags".

this afternoon, LADY BUNNY interviewed me on Q-TV LIVE for 2 segments and then i lip-synced "looking good, feeling gorgeous". i wanted to do the show cause BUNNY was guest hosting this week and i knew i'd have fun, which i did. we talked about our "good ol' days" back in ATLANTA. the entire year of '83, BUNNY and i were inseparable.
