Thursday, March 24, 2005 ISLAND FEVERmy friend RONNY lives in HONOLULU and is visiting NEW YORK CITY for the first time. RONNY truly couldn't have a better host than me, TRUST! we've been canvassing this island like nobody's business since his arrival on monday. the first stop we made was to a subway station so that he could get a METRO CARD with unlimited rides for the week that he's here. i had been planning to take him to THE GAEITY, but sadly it closed, so i took him to see LA CAGE AUX FOLLES on BROADWAY. it was a fabulous introduction to THE GREAT WHITE WAY. i had never seen the show before and i clearly wasn't prepared for what we saw. the show was an all out, spectacular extravaganza! it was everything you would hope a big musical to be... big lavish numbers, gorgeous costumes, great songs, a timeless message, and drag queens! i has it all! we laughed, we cried, we were transported by the magic... i swear! we were the guests of MICHAEL BENJAMIN WASHINGTON, the genius plays JACOB the butler/maid to the hilt with the biggest laughs of the show. everyone in the cast is absolutely terrific. . | Permalink 2009 RuCo, Inc.—All Rights Reserved |
