footloose & fancy free

on thursday, we flew from NYC to Ottawa and did my nightclub act the very same night. it was fun, but i'd have loved to spend more time there. it was so beautiful.

got to Minneapolis friday afternoon. hometown girl, Chi Chi LaRue picked me up and took me to The Gay 90's for the drag show. it started at 9:30 and ended at 1:30... FABULOUS! better than anything i've seen in New York or LA.

i'm currently listening to Rod Stewart non-stop. he has always been one of my favorites. never liked the American Songbook Trilogy, though.

Lady Mayday

Mayday is the lovely promoter who brought me to Amsterdam. we met for the first time in Paris a couple of months ago, but we've been Shemail buddies for about 7 years. i had a wonderful time onstage. the kids were so electric-they gave me a night i will never forget!

Mayday has some highlights of saturday night posted on her site. Diva MayDay

i like bike

i got back to NYC sunday at 5pm and slept from 6 till midnight. at 4am, i rode my bike over to the East Village and then across the Williamsburg Bridge, but i didn't go into Brooklyn. monday mornings at that hour are totally boss for bike riding. it's the quietest 2 hours the city ever gets.

i didn't go biking at all in Amsterdam, it was far too intimidating with sooo many bicyclists. the photos are of one of the city's many bike parking lots.

all good in da hood

Amsterdam was fun, and i managed to stay off the grass this time, which really wasn't as difficult as i let on. trust, when i say i'd had my fill of smoking weed, believe me i have. please don't think this is a case against weed, because it's not. i love weed. weed fucking saved my life.

when i was a kid, i felt i needed something mind altering to help me endure being sentenced to this planet, but today i dig being present for the experience. actually, i'm grateful to have experienced Amsterdam both stoned (from my last visit) and clear (from this trip). i don't believe in right or wrong, bad or good... it's just experience.

ouch, Lil' Mama, that was my ear!

when Tom and i drove to Vegas a couple of weeks ago, we listened to rapper Lil' Mama a lil' bit too much, which led me to say "Throw Lil' Mama From The Train". we cracked up about that for miles and miles, and if you know anything about how our sick minds work, you'll know that we were off and running to find titles to insert Lil' Mama's good name into. here are the best, so far:

1. Lil' Mama Said Knock You Out
2. Lil' Mama Mia
3. Lil' Mommy Dearest
4. Don't Tell Lil' Mama The Babysitter's Dead
5. Lil' Mama, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys
6. Lil' Mama Celeste
7. Lil' Mama Used To Say
8. I Remember Lil' Mama
9. That's My Lil' Mama
10. Stop Or My Lil' Mama Will Shoot!

i amsterdam

this is my first time in Amsterdam since i quit weed 9 years ago. all i remember from my last visit in '97 was walking around like a zombie on account of my unyielding appetite for "the chronic". i was a serious wake & bake stoner for 25 years. will i succumb to the temptation of sweet kush wafting out of bohemian coffeehouses on every corner? stay tuned.

Mr. Holland's Opussy

Lypsinka, Ashlie Atkinson & Todd Stephens on the set of "Another Gay Sequel"

arrived in Amsterdam this morning. shot a music video in New York with Lady Bunny just hours before boarding the plane. it was for our song from "Another Gay Sequel", which i saw a rough cut of last week, very funny. it's kinda like a gay "Cannonball Run".

skinny genes

at 6'4", my body weight naturally lands at 165 pounds when i eat small, healthy meals throughout the daylight hours and exercise regularly. i inherited my mother's skinny bones and her father's height.

while overseeing the post-production on Starrbooty, i didn't exercise and i got up to 195 pounds by eating comfort foods way into the wee hours of the morning. i couldn't fit any of my clothes so i wore sweats everyday.

personally, i fucking love-love-love a big fat ass and a hairy gut on a man (drives me crazy), but for my body and my work, i feel better when i'm slim, plus i have more options with clothes.

mi casa su casa

Last night's party for the release of Charo's new record "Espana Cani" was held at her home in Beverly Hills. There were about 65 guest, including Loretta Swit, DJ Tony Moran, Alexis Arquette, Bai Ling & Chris Cox from Thunderpuss.

Charo was a fabulous hostess, but the star of the show was her house. Spectacular! I'd love to go on a tour of every home in the 90210 zip code. I'd start with Angie Dickenson's sexy ranch style, and then move on to Phyllis Diller's impeccable french provincial, and on and on...

roller skatin' mates

i know Gisele from the early 90's when she modeled in New York. she's new to L.A. so yesterday i took her on a hike, then roller skating and then later, of course, to Jumbo's. Anne-Marie was on the pole, so my MF crew really lucked out!

Alex was my scene partner in an acting class 9 years ago and we've been buddies ever since. we brought (tough actin') Tinactin to spray into the rental skates before we put our feet in, and sprayed our feet after we finished as well. smart move.

"thought i was big & bad, but love taught me.."

we took Tom's brand new Mercedes up to Vegas friday afternoon and pumped the tunes non-stop. we listened to Lil' Mama, Lil' Kim and The Little River Band. we jammed Taylor Dayne, Danity Kane and Kool & The Gang. Millie Jackson, Freddie Jackson and of course LaToya Jackson.

by the time we got back to L.A, i was very envious of Tom's sound system. so, monday morning i had a new sound system put into my 30 year old Volvo. it's totally worth more than the car itself, but i don't care. you gotta pay the cost to be da boss. first song i'm gonna play when i get my car back today is "The Boss" by Diana Ross.
