NASSAU COLISEUM, LONG ISLAND.
fan-fucking-tastic!
i saw the same tour 2 years ago in VEGAS, but now it has some new costumes and
a few new songs (some songs were taken out).
completely sold-out (her 281 performance of this show).
less than 100 black people in the arena.
VILLAGE PEOPLE opened for her.
me and DAVID DALRYMPLE saw her at the same venue about 15 years ago.
i can't wait to see her again.

SHIPPING OUT

i'll spend the next 2 weeks in LOS ANGELES
packing up my house
during my vacation from the radio station.
i never thought i'd ever miss L.A.
but i do.

"BROADWAY DOESN'T STAND FOR BOOZE AND PILLS"

last week, i got to see the 3 prototypes for THE RuPAUL DOLL that will be available next summer. INTEGRITY TOYS is doing a doll from the SUPERMODEL video look, one from the VH1 talk show look, and one from my current look with jeans and straight hair. all the dolls will have blonde hair, but each will have a different shade. for years, people have approached me about developing a doll in my image, but this is the first time i've felt comfortable with the quality of the manufacturer. the detail they gave to each doll is fucking awesome. you're gonna flip when you see them.

i bought the new DESTINY'S CHILD cd after i saw their sizzling performance of LOSE MY BREATHE on OPRAH. the single is AH-MAH-ZING, but when i listened to the rest of DESTINY FULFILLED, i was more than a little disappointed. i thought it was way too "quiet storm" and not enough "bootylicious". well, one week later, and the friggin' album has been on heavy duty rotation on my IPOD. i LOVE it! especially BAD HABIT, THROUGH WITH LOVE & IF, which samples NATALIE COLE's INSEPARABLE.
